About the Foundation

The Foundation was formed in 2002 with the purpose of raising funds and stewarding the construction of memorials to honor those who have served to protect and defend our country.  The first monument to be constructed to honor our Kern County Veterans will be located on Truxtun and S Streets near the Amtrak Station. It will be a beautiful black granite, stainless steel, and tempered glass memorial, and will display the names of our veterans and biographies of those who gave their lives to protect our country and freedom. If you have a veteran in your family, please register him or her in our veteran's registry. If your veteran died while in service, please help us to honor him or her by completing the KIA/MIA form under the "Contact Us" tab on this webpage.
